Instagram vs. Reality. What do Graphic Designers do? Behind The Scenes
What the client sees – Instagram Story
Graphic design is all around us; websites, brochures, product labels, social media and so much more. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that graphic design touches almost everything we encounter on a daily basis. Ever wondered how all of it is created? We asked one of our designers to give us a sneak peak into his desktop as he created our latest Instagram story. You will see just how long it takes to create a 7 second clip, yes only 7 seconds!! Please bear in mind this video has been sped up so the actual time spent on a 7 second clip = 1 hour! Mind-blowing.

What the client doesn’t see – Behind the scenes
Festival envy is looming in the office this summer so instead of wallowing in our self-pity we decided to get creative. Vibrant colours and atmospheric scenery inspired us to create an animated visual that aims to transport the viewer to the festival – even if only for 7 seconds! The imagery almost allows you to hear the music without any sound at all. This was mainly achieved through the use of the parallax effect. The entire process can be seen below, from masking the foreground, cropping to the correct size and adding a slight blur to simulate depth.
Logo Reveal
Logo reveals are a fantastic way to communicate your brand image to your customers. Logo reveals or logo pre-loaders can be used for a variety of interfaces. Create a lasting and decisive first impression by including a logo reveal on your website or captivate your audience by adding originality and creativity to your presentations. The limits to having a consistent and engaging logo reveal are endless. See ours below!

If you’re curious about graphic design, creating branded pre-loaders, Instagram stories or just simply for a chat give us a call or send us an email! We would love to chat with you. Don’t worry, we don’t charge for consultations! You can also check out some of our previous work here.
