Met Éireann – Digital Brochure & Webpage Design

What Did the Client Need?

Met Éireann (on behalf of the Irish Government) required a digital brochure to showcase Irelands bid to locate the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts in Cherrywood, Dublin. They also required a webpage to support the information in the digital brochure.

The Solution

We designed an online brochure that easily guided the reader while clearly highlighting the key points on each page. We achieved this through the use of engaging high-resolution imagery and alternative text placement. The final result was an impactful 60-page brochure with vibrant high-resolution imagery used throughout.

In addition to the brochure, we designed and developed a supporting webpage. This webpage was designed to reflect the style of the brochure and included additional videos highlighting Irelands bid as well as a detailed look at the proposed office building in Cherrywood, Dublin. In order to assist in engaging the user we created a series of micro animations throughout the webpage. These micro animations included content transitions and reveals. This helped in creating a more dynamic design rather than being flat and static.

The Result

Met Éireann were shortlisted for the voting stage of the competition to host the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts’ EU funded activities. The shortlisting of Ireland’s bid represented the recognition of Ireland’s significant potential to support a world leading research center in weather, climate and earth system science.
