The Irishman / Writers Tears – Pop-Up Shop Design at Dublin Airport

We were asked to design a pop-up shop in Dublin Airport for Walsh Whiskey (previously known as Walsh Whiskey Distillery). The challenge was to achieve this within the busy, modern retail space of Terminal 2. It needed to be contemporary, luxurious, catch the eye of passing travellers while showcasing their whiskey brands: The Irishman and Writers’ Tears.

In contrast to the modern glossy shops nearby, we took a more classic approach. We designed the wall behind the payment point to look like a traditional Irish bar. It was constructed from painted timber and decorated with stenciled logos, to give a beautiful handcrafted finish.
