Aut Even Hospital
Brochure design for Aut Even Hospital, Kilkenny
Aut Even Hospital Kilkenny contacted us in relation to a complete redesign of their four medical brochures regarding post-operative guidelines (Total Hip Replacement, Knee Arthroscopy, Knee Reconstructive Surgery and Gynecological Surgery) for their physiotherapy department.
Aut Even Hospital Kilkenny, wanted to create a consistent look and design across their physiotherapy department, with the focus on user-interface (UI)/user-experience (UX), leading to a user-friendly brochure.
We started the brochure design by establishing the size. We felt A5 would best suit the user-friendly nature that Aut Even Hospital Kilkenny wanted in their brochure design. The brochure design we created was simple and clean, making the content easy to read, comprehend and understand.
Aut Even Hospital Kilkenny also wanted to include informative medical illustrations into the brochure design. At AKGraphics we are fortunate to have a great choice of digital illustrators that we can employ and collaborate on projects with. This additional service worked out very well for this brochure design, creating simple and educational drawings, which added greatly to the visual appeal, whilst engaging the target market/patient.
Due to the great success of the medical brochure designs, Aut Even Hospital Kilkenny requested we design a clean and appealing leaflet design based on the modern look and feel used in the brochures. Once again, user-interface (UI)/user-experience (UX) were the focus leading to an intriguing, easy to read leaflet/flyer.
The client was thrilled with the result and we look forward to working with them more in the future. It was great to work with a client like Aut Even Hospital Kilkenny, who promise all of their patients access to expert Consultants and Medical staff who are dedicated to their individual healthcare needs.
Aut Even Hospital Kilkenny Newspaper Advert
Aut Even Hospital, Kilkenny, approached AKGraphics to uniform and design a structure and layout for the Aut Even Hospital brand identity. This was to simplify how Aut Even Hospital private healthcare promoted itself both in print and online. The new design had to incorporate their tag line and a new ‘100 years’ logo, while also distinguishing and combining the main logo colours with the twelve different department brand colours and icons. We were also asked to design promotional double-sided postcards for the different medical departments within Aut Even Hospital.
AKGraphics designed all of the above intricate elements and the results you see speak for themselves. Upon completion, detailed brand guidelines (in PDF form) were created to assist the Aut Even Communications department.
As a follow-on to this project, AKGraphics was asked to design and print the conference brochure, pop up banner, advertising, etc., for the 2nd Annual Aut Even Opthmology Conference, being held in Kilkenny. This conference saw the highly successful introduction of the new Aut Even brand structure to its intended market.
This detailed brand restructure, along with the PDF guidelines, provides core guidance for the hospital’s Communications department. The intended target market is also becoming more familiar with this private hospital and its work. Here, in AKGraphics, we’re looking forward to working alongside Aut Even Hospital in the future..
Advertising Campaign Design for Aut Even Hospital
Aut Even Hospital approached us recently to design graphics for a new campaign called “Meet Our Consultants”. The aim of the campaign was to allow Aut Even to present each Consultant to patients and potential patients on their website and through advertisement. Each Consultant is also represented within a department focus, for example all Orthopaedic Consultants will appear together via digital ads, radio ads, and press ads.
The new design needed to have a modern feel. Aut Even wanted to use the department colours for each marketing item to distinguish and identify with department the consultant is part of within the hospital. A new fresh and crisp design was request . d that would be easily adaptable for all departments.
For the logo we provided the client with various options integrated with their own imagery. The tagline quickly developed from “Meet the Consultant” to “Meet our Consultants”. We felt it allowed for a more personal feel for patients.
The look and feel of the campaign is clean and sleek as requested. It has also a very friendly and approachable look. To demonstrate how the stamp would work across the campaign we designed a header for the website, a motion graphic for use on all social media channels, a consultant postcard and a half page newspaper advert. These items are used as a basis for the roll out of the campaign which will happen over the next few months.
Aut Even Hospital are a fantastic client to work with, as we have built a strong working relationship there is a large amount of trust which allows us to design creative and impactive material.

Infographic design for a Table Talker for Aut Even Hospital
Table talkers are a very popular promotional Point of Sale (POS) advertising device in restaurants. Table talkers have the advantage of close proximity to customers when they take a seat and consider what to eat.
Although most commonly found in cafes and bars these promotional items are not limited to the food industry. They can be used to great advantage in the hospitality industry, travel agencies, pharmaceutical, financial services and even medical industries as seen in this design project for Aut Even Hospital, Kilkenny.
Sometimes an informational flyer will not have the impact required, in these cases a table talker is a great alternative promotional tool. This is also evident at large conferences, trade shows and events.
Aut Even Hospital required a printed item that would explain to patients why they are repeatedly asked to confirm their identity in the hospital. The process of confirming a patient’s details is necessary in the hospital and the design for the table talker had to convey this in a clear way.
By designing custom infographics the finished design for the table talker was clear and engaging. The use of bold colours also helped to ensure the design was eye-catching and appealing.
More common uses for table talkers are for special offers, events, food and drink menus in bars, restaurants and cafes. Due to the ability for table talkers to instantly deliver your promotional message, they are very effective at instant communication for any target market.
